Coverage Packages and Insurances
Below we have compiled an overview of our coverage packages. You can find more information about each individual package under our General Terms & Conditions.
Please be aware that some credit card companies offer coverage. We recommend that you check with your credit card company before selecting your package.
Car Rental Coverage Packages
Basic Coverage
This coverage package includes the following benefits:
Coverage with Deductible (Basic/Standard)
Prices quoted with the Basic/Standard coverage package (with deductible payable in the event of damage) include:
- Value added tax
- Unlimited mileage*
- Third party liability (the extent of the indemnity is limited in accordance with the terms and conditions of the local rental companies or additional coverage taken out through the local car rental company: see clause 25 below)
- Airport taxes* and allocation, together with any other local taxes where applicable, unless provided otherwise in the conditions contained in the documentation or voucher.
*Provided it has not been specified differently in the local hire conditions.
Coverage with Refund of Deductible (Inclusive)
Prices quoted with the coverage package denoted as Incl. Collision & Damage Waiver include:
- Value added tax
- Unlimited mileage*
- Third party insurance (the extent of the indemnity is limited in accordance with the terms and conditions of the local car rental companies or additional cover taken out through the local rental car company: see clause 25 below)
- Airport taxes* and allocation, together with any other local taxes where applicable, unless provided otherwise in the conditions contained in the documentation or voucher.
- Comprehensive and vehicle theft coverage with deductible (Deductible rates vary based on local rental company's terms and conditions. Some destinations in Spain require no deductible)
*Provided it has not been specified differently in the local hire conditions.
The above mentioned packages do not include:
- Fuel: a deposit is often payable for fuel and is usually refunded if the car rental is returned with a full tank. Please review the local car rental company’s fuel policy at pickup – policies vary by local car rental company
- Parking fees, tolls, congestion charges, parking, and traffic fines
- Additional driver charges where applicable
- Car rental hotel delivery and pickup charges where applicable
- Charges for pickup and drop-off of the vehicle outside of the car rental location’s standard hours of operation
- Optional extras (child seats, ski racks, etc.)
- One-way car rental charges where applicale
- Young drivers charges where applicable
