a) Car Rental Reservation

Whenever you make a car reservation via our website, www.cardelmar.com, we request the following information: name of the driver - as well as the name(s) of any additional driver(s) - address, phone numbers, E-mail address, age (when necessary due to young drivers'regulation) and credit card details. This information is solely used for the reservation process.

b) Newsletters & E-mail

CarDelMar newsletter is free-of-charge and intends to provide all of our clients with our latest specials and offers. CarDelMar Newsletter is offered to all of our clients who wish to receive it on a monthly basis. CarDelMar reserves the right to limit the membership to those who accept E-mails. If you wish to receive newsletters and special offers via E-mail from CarDelMar and its selected partners and/our affiliated companies, you can visit our website and register for our CarDelMar Newsletter. If at any time you wish to unsubscribe from any of CarDelMar's E-mail products, click the unsubscribe link at the bottom of any of the messages.

We use an email system which can individually track who opens an E-Mail (HTML format) and who clicks on any link provided in an E-Mail. This is defined as personally-identifiable information. We gather personally-identifiable information in order to assess how many people were interested in particular topics or particular links posted in our E-mail correspondences; and to better understand your needs in order to create personalized service that better fits your interests. If you do not want such information to be collected about you, you should unsubscribe from our all of our E-Mails communication services.

c) Online Surveys

Your opinion and feedback is essential to us. In order to improve our services and products, we conduct online surveys from time to time. Participation in these online surveys is optional and anonymous.

CarDelMar shares your personal information with third parties only with your explicit permission, or as otherwise disclosed in this Privacy Policy. When you reserve or purchase car rental services through CarDelMar, we must provide certain elements of your personal information to the car rental agency and or other involved third parties to enable the successful fulfillment of your request. However, we neither sell nor rent individual customer names or other personal information to third parties. We use non-personally identifiable information in aggregate form to build higher quality, more useful online services by performing statistical analyses of the collective characteristics and behavior of our customers and visitors, and by measuring demographics and interests regarding specific areas of our site. We may provide anonymous statistical information based on this data to suppliers, advertisers, affiliates and other current and potential business partners. We may also use such aggregate data to inform these third parties as to the number of people who have seen and clicked on links to their web sites. Occasionally, CarDelMar will hire a third party to act on our behalf for projects such as market-research surveys. In such case, CarDelMar will provide information to these third parties specifically for use in connection with such projects. The information we provide to such third parties is protected by a confidentiality agreement.

f) Advertising services

Third parties advertise on our Site, and we also contract with third parties to post ads throughout Internet. These third parties may post ads about our products or services, or third party products or services that we or our business partners think you may be interested in.

While we may share Session Data with third parties to help facilitate the posting of these ads, we do not share any personal information about you unless you give us permission to do so. PLEASE NOTE THAT WE DO NOT SHARE PERSONAL INFORMATION SUCH AS CREDIT CARD DETAILS OR ANY OTHER HIGHLY SENSITIVE DATA. These third parties may seek to use cookies and pixel tags, including those collected on our Site, to track Session Data. This Session Data deals with the ads you may have seen and the types of things in which you appear to be interested in for market research and analysis purposes.

Your personal and payment details will only be recorded, processed and used in compliance with data protection legislation, to the extent required for the purposes of performance of the rental agreement.

The details which you have provided in order to rent a vehicle shall only be transferred to local car rental company to the extent necessary for performance of the rental agreement. Your personal or payment details will not be passed to a third party, except in the case of a legal or governmental requirement, e.g. in order to combat credit card fraud. We have set up security policies, rules and technical actions to safeguard your personal information from 1) unauthorized access and 2) improper disclosure. All our employees who have access to, and are involved with the processing of personal data, are bound to respect the confidentiality of your personal information.

CarDelMar’s website is secured with a 128 bit code by Thawte. Sensitive data, such as your credit card and personal data, are coded and protected using the SSL system (Secure Socket Layer) before being transferred. Your data cannot, therefore, be intercepted by a third party. It is even safer than giving your details by telephone.

Use of Google Analytics

Use of Facebook Social Plugins
