After your stay in Fes, continue driving with your rental car towards the south. Roads are generally in good conditions. You will pass the Sida Harazem spring which name is labelled on water bottles. Later have a break of few hours in Ifrane, a welcoming little ski station and continue towards Midelt, limit between Middle Atlas and High Atlas where you can spend the night. An excursion in the vicinities of Midelt will reveal itself very interesting for the ones who wish to observe monkeys playing with their little ones between the cedar trees. However in order to preserve the natural balance of this region it is wisely advised not to feed them!

 



While penetrating deeper into the Sahara, the color of the red sand dunes around Tafilat are absolutely awesome! In the west of Tafilat, do not miss the gigantic gorges of Todgha and Dades. Enjoy a break to admire the wonders of the nature and savor a tajina or a couscous in one of the restaurants located close to Todgha’s gorge. Todgha’s gorges are also very visited by climbers wishing to tease its steep rock high of 980 feet.
