The country that stretches over two continents: Turkey
Turkey covers an area of 14700mi² and stretches over two continents. It borders the Aegean Sea in the west, the Mediterranean in the south and the Black Sea in the north, making water quite readily accessible.

The middle part of Turkey is called Anatolia. Central Anatolia is covered in imposing mountain ranges and contains the famous Tuz Gölü salt lake.
Crossing Turkey you can enjoy the great natural variety and gorgeous landscape. Vast fields with juicy fruits, green forests and high mountains, of which the highest one is the famous Great Ararat (Büyuk Agri Dagi) at roughly 2200ft.

Additionally, the cities are well worth a visit,, the capital, Ankara for example has a population of over 3m and is at an altitude of 3300 ft. Ankara has a great historic part of town with winding alleys and cosy little cafés, contrasting the modern center.
Another inevitable visit is to Istanbul, the only city in the world spread over two continents. The metropolis has a population of over 10m and is divided by the straight of Bosporus.
